Oh yes he did the live disc. :) Anyway, it is not the engineers' pay that make the sets more costly.

This album, like almost all the remixed Tulls, is transformed. It was the first album to be recorded with the Maison Rouge mobile studio... there were always problems with the original mix. It now sounds much better!

Ya know, I'm not much of a Tull fan. But I like how Steven Wilson works with the Tull catalog....RESPECT. You get the vinatge stereo mix, a stereo remix, and a vinatge QUAD mix (if available), plus some fairly neat bonus stuff. And he has an ear for sound quality. If only every band's catalog was handled this way. Too bad he couldn't have worked on Genesis' catalog almost a decade ago.

I really don't care what you consider it; just a statement to me, pal. You must micro analyze member's posts like you do your own music. I've purchased a number of the Tull's stereo remixes already, so I can make a statement whenever the hell I like. Steven Wilson, love the guy. Love the new life and experience he gave Aqualung and Benefit.

Ouch....you seem upset. Maybe you should self medicate with your awesome compression free cd.

It's only my opinion of course , but I find Wilson remastering work to sound too modern and compress. I bought both aqualung and benefit, and prefer the old pre remaster versions. I only say, check before you pay.

I'm wondering the same thing. I preordered it from Amazon and it's listed as a May 5th release.

Steven Wilson does not remaster these, he remixes them. As for compression, it was seldom if ever used... the rest is a matter of taste.
