Just a heads up on this: I picked up the Season 1 DVD set at Target last week and it has the replacement disc one in it. I notice there is a bar code sticker over the original bar code on the back of the slipcase and that may be how you can tell if you see these in a brick and mortar location. So if you go this route, you won't have to deal with the whole business of applying for replacement discs.

I'm glad they made this right (to the extent that was feasible), but I'm annoyed that it got screwed up in the first place.

The "Season 1 rebroadcast promo" belongs at the end of #94 "The Duo Defy" with Eli Wallach as Mr. Freeze (the last show of Season 2). At least that's where I remember seeing it.

I do not have a widescreen TV. I notice the episodes play full frame, but the "extras" are mastered/encoded/whatever to play 4:3 in a widescreen format with black on either side -- I'm seeing what looks like a shrunken-down image area. Just on the extras, though.

I would still like to have the "other version" of the first episode (without the narration) as well. If anyone got their replacement discs and doesn't want their original DVD 1, I'd be glad to take it off your hands. I have seen a few listings on ebaY for the two incorrect discs but the ones I've seen have all been the Bluray versions.

On March 13th, I got an email from WHV Customer Service saying that my disc 1 replacement for the Season 1 DVD set is in the mail. I haven't received it yet. Is this normal? If not, should I contact WHV?

Guess I've been checked out of this tread for a while. I'm glad I popped back in. Approximately $60 for the entire series on blu-ray is a reasonable price and got me to finally pull the trigger, especially since it already contains the corrected disc.

I purchased the Italian version from an Amazon marketplace seller and it came to about $58 with shipping. It plays well in my cheap Samsung Blu-Ray player. Episode guide, discs, and menus are in English. It's a pretty sweet deal!

I would suspect that once this run is sold out they won't press any more and in the future people will have to stream it. $42.92 is a steal for this from Amazon.it.

Nope. It's the board software. There's been some discussion about this within the past couple of days, but I can't find the thread it was buried in right now. Suffice to say that pretty much everyone who expressed an opinion was very much opposed to the software being configured to redirect like this.
