Fingers crossed this is what we've been waiting for.... Spotted on Amazon.fr with a 25 September 2015 release. No track list at present but looks like the studio albums from Space Oddity to Pinups, plus Santa Monica and the Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust soundtrack, plus what looks like 2 bonus discs - one with a Ziggy Stardust cover (maybe the bonus disc from the 2Cd version?) and another mystery disc. Veeery interesting ... fingers crossed on the SOUND of these things. It would take something out of this world to make me part with my Ryko Golden Years box!
I'm excited. The mastering on Nothing Has Changed was not the worst I've heard, and the recent Ziggy and Aladdin Sane reissues were pretty good. And with the prospect of a vinyl release, it'd be awesome if there was a digital download on HDTracks etc..
You're right. Ziggy & Aladdin Sane 40th anniversary releases sound very good. Hope they'll do the same for all the box set.
A minor quibble. Shouldn't Diamond Dogs be a part of this set? Technically, it falls within " five years"--as that phrase is understood (1969-74); also, I see that album as being more a part of that era, than the next one which begins with Young Americans.
Well it says it's covering 1969 to 1973. Which is technically five years, though confusing - 69, 79, 71, 72, 73. If he continues, then the next would presumably by 74 to 78. Which would mess up the Berlin trilogy!

I have all this. But for those that still do not have Bowie's classic stuff in their collections... it must be exciting.
second disc is the 2003 remix. http://www.davidbowie.com/news/five-years-1969-1973-box-set-due-september-54571 Re:Call 1 tracklisting CD1 Space Oddity (original UK mono single edit)* Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud (original UK mono single version)* Ragazzo Solo, Ragazza Sola The Prettiest Star (original mono single version)* Conversation Piece* Memory Of A Free Festival (Part 1) Memory Of A Free Festival (Part 2) All The Madmen (mono single edit)* previously unreleased Janine* Holy Holy (original mono single version)* only ever issued on original ‘71 Mercury single Moonage Daydream (The Arnold Corns single version)* Hang On To Yourself (The Arnold Corns single version)* CD 2 Changes (mono single version)* Andy Warhol (mono single version)* Starman (original single mix) John, I’m Only Dancing (original single version) The Jean Genie (original single mix) Drive-In Saturday (German single edit) Round And Round John, I’m Only Dancing (sax version) Time (U.S. single edit) Amsterdam Holy Holy (Spiders version) Velvet Goldmine
I'd settle for vinyl copies of "Hunky Dory" and "Aladdin Sane" on the off chance these are made available individually.
