Fair warning ... still sounds super bad (bad not in the good way).

 

Yes, I didn't care for the Captain Beyond LPs. It's in my SELL pile.

 

If you get a nice flat set (like I did) You'll be blown away! The crystal clear heavyweight vinyl is beautiful, and it's half speed mastered from the original analog tapes. The sound is stunning. If you're on the fence about taking a shot I say go for it. I think most of the bad copies are already out there as I'm not seeing as many complaints on the copies they're shipping now. Incredible set for the money.

 

One of my favorite albums. As good as Kiko IMO.

 

I ordered one. If it is warped I just send it back.

Just a FYI on this one, I ordered this from Amazon (for a similar price) in October 2014...was showing then as "Temporarily out of stock, will fill when available"...as of a year later it's still on my open orders, and I'm still waiting for it to be fulfilled...

Well, this one is probably not for everyone. I got my copy today, and have listened to the first side. A few pops here and there, but fairly quiet. Sounds pretty good, I'd consider this more on the "avant garde" side of things. I'm quite happy w/ it and I paid $5.70 for mine.

^I'd be leery of anything on Cleo/Purple Pyramid. Not exactly a company known for quality. That record could be transcoded mp3s mastered from an audience microcassette...they've done just as much in the past.

 

Have not played mine yet but one of the records has white marks in the vinyl where it should be 'clear'. Will play it later to see if it's damaged.
