Which recent Roxy Music box set are you speaking of? The studio album set with the extra 2 disc set was well received.

The Byrds ("black box set", 1990) - this was one of the first rock-oriented box sets and IMHO still sets the standard by which box sets should be judged. This set included a nice proportion of previously unreleased tracks (notably those written by Gene Clark) and alternate versions (notably the songs from Sweetheart of the Rodeo sung by Gram Parsons; his lead vocals were limited by legal action from a label that issued material by International Submarine Band, Gram's first recording band; Gram's participation was possibly also limited by professional jealousy from Roger McGuinn), plus a decent booklet with essay by Sid Griffin, erstwhile leader of the Long Ryders.

This thread or something like it has been done here many times, but since it's a new thread, I'll give some new examples. Minstrel In The Gallery (already mentioned) is great, the Thrak Box from King Crimson is very good, but my archival release for 2015 is actually the Sinatra set A Voice In Air. Anyone who hasn't been following that thread here should check it out: the praise has been unanimous and well deserved.

    That's I was thinking.
Assuming the OP refers to the Complete Studio Recordings, it seems to me the box is highly regarded by most

A new one released last month...Frank Sinatra: A Voice on Air.

Even to us old-timer Sinatra fans it was and is a revelation. Beautiful performances and stellar restoration.
