I just listened to The Next Day (Deluxe Edition) and am now listening to The Rise and Fall... (30th Anniversary Editon). If you haven't heard "I'll Take You There" off of The Next Day, you should. (Edited per poster's request)
I'm going to revisit Heathen and Reality as I never really gave them much of a chance. Also Outside is on the docket (I think it's one of his best)
I'm being obvious and listening to Blackstar on CD. Still on the fence whether or not to pick it up on vinyl when the stores get restocked. Earlier in the week I played my late 70s reissue vinyl of Diamond Dogs. Also listened to the RCA CD in the car of Changes Two Bowie yesterday. Right now I am searching frantically through my shelves for my vinyl copy of Tin Machine. It is misfiled and I KNOW it's here somewhere!
Nothing Has Changed (3 disc version) I needed some catch up time. Ketchup? Amazing breadth on that collection.
All of it. Just finished listening to the '66 Pye singles in fact. It's been great listening to some stuff I haven't heard in ages, namely Outside thru Reality. Also been watching the Reality tour & Best of Bowie DVDs. It's been a full on Bowie week. Haven't been able to listen to anything but Bowie really.
The Reality Tour on CD is pretty good. I with I had seen that tour, but Bowie wasn't so much on my radar at that time. I didn't really get into him (beyond Changesbowie and Let's Dance) until 2005 or so. Although I was familiar with "DJ and "Fashion" as they were played a lot in the early days of MTV.
I always loved Miracle Goodnight off that one. As for me, I've been absorbing Blackstar all week. Last friday when I picked it up I was excited to be buying a new Bowie album, never thought it would be the last
Not listening to Bowie at all this week, just remembering. Rest easy, Starman. Thanks for everything.
The second half of Low, as I never used to like the electronic stuff. That's now changed - just a general thing, not because of that record. Next it will be Heathen and Aladdin Sane. I think I have Scary Monsters on vinyl - if I find it, that will follow the other two.

Yeah, talk about regrets. I didn't go see him at the Rosemont Theatre (a smaller venue no less) on the Reality tour, which would have been my first show of his. "I'll just see him next time..." Famous last words
Get it if you can, it's so worth it. Though at this point you'll likely have to use alternative methods to find it.
Hmm. That's a tough one. David Bowie was one of the first musicians I was introduced to as a child. Aladdin Sane was the first album I remember hearing and his image, music and persona truly had me believing he was a super hero. (Silly, I know) His songs has gotten me through some of the toughest times of my life. I've also became closer to my father through our mutual love for his music. There's sentimental reasons for why he's one of my favorites. The Beach Boys is a group I discovered later on in life that became my first musical obsession. I've heard hundreds of albums and none of them comes close to topping Pet Sounds. I didn't realize how remarkable, moving and impactful music be could be until I heard Pet Sounds in it's entirety. At the time, I viewed music as something you just listen and dance to (nothing more) but after my first listen I was convinced that it was a work of art and experience that was mind altering and life changing. They both played a huge part in contributing to the soundtrack of my life. I'm sorry but I honestly couldn't choose between the two. That's like picking a favorite parent. I can't do it.
