Even though Rubber Soul (US version) is just at the top, my all time favorite is:

Just great, pure, simple Rock N Roll. Plus a Stratocaster on the cover that launched a thousand British boys to find an electric!

It's difficult enough coming up with a top ten or fifteen of all time, so I can only narrow the choice(s) down to The Who Sell Out, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, and ABB's At Fillmore East... Wait a second, I forgot Astral Weeks. Make that Moondance. Wait, wait . . . Bobby 'Blue' Bland's Two Steps from the Blues. Oh! I almost forgot about In a Silent Way (or is it Bitches Brew). Hmmm.... there has to be one that stands out. Scrap the rest, I pick Blonde on Blonde. Or . . .

After skimming others' picks, a reminder. I now choose The Kinks' Arthur (The Decline and Fall of the British Empire).

I could have chosen that but the first record I bought on moving to London in 1968 was the wonderful Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die. It has become my standby record.
Every system I have bought since had to do this it's just deserts. It tells me how emotion and music is so linked, think I need a couple more drinks before I go there.

Based on the amount of times listened to: Breakfast in America - Supertramp.
Based on my feeling today: Hounds of Love - Kate Bush
