I ordered the Sugar set, in early January, but never received the Beaster album. After one enquiry (with no meaningful response), I gave up on it. This week, I receive a single package with 2 copies of said album. Go figure...

I did eventually receive two copies of The Slider box set, I ordered them a couple of weeks apart, both were just left outside my door.

For anyone still interested in the Tanx/Zinc Alloy deluxe edition, they've knocked it down to £29.99

Yes I saw that, good price for anyone looking to buy it. Mine is still in the box under my bed along with The Slider box sets. I have decided not to buy any more of these large LP sized box sets as they are just so huge and difficult to display.

I know what you mean. After 2 months I still can't find a decent place for my Slider box!

Yes, they're struggling to shift the Tanx/Zinc deluxe, aren't they?!

On Amazon it's still nearly £72!

I have a bottom shelf dedicated to oversized, overpriced box sets. I dread to think of the collective value of that one shelf's contents.

    Best not dwell upon it!

The problem is that I just never even play them, even the smaller shelf friendly box sets, and as you say if you added up the collective value of them. I just buy them, open them to look at the packaging and then they go on the shelf. The Simon and Garfunkel Box set is reduced to £35 just now and I am trying my hardest not to buy it, but the cheap price is making me want to, same as the Nilsson box set.

    I feel you.

I try to keep as much of my stuff accessible as possible. For example, I took the CDs and DVD out of The Slider box and I store them separately, in plain sleeves; that way, they're there when I want to play them.

    I've done that.

It's a beautiful box. Probably the nicest one I own. Still, there's a lot of stuff in it that I've only looked at once. I'm not a vinyl man, so I haven't played any of that, for instance.

Great deal for £20. Still can't believe I got it for that!

Sort of wish I'd got the Tanx/Zinc one now...

What a great deal the thread title was. Best one I've ever had.

Amazon have the box currently at £124.99

Have you ever sold any CDs or box sets on here? I am thinking of having a cull.....

I haven't, no. Or bought anything either. I think it's pretty straightforward, though.
