KinkySmallFace1991 Will you come back to me, Sweet Lady Genevieve?

I wish they'd use the original cover. I don't like the You're Gonna Get It era cover at all.

Does anyone know if this is all analog? Seeing how important SQ is to Tom, I'd venture to think so.

I'm sure as hell hoping so. Either way, it's better than paying the current $250 price tag!

  4. Very promising. Would be wonderful to have this all-analog.

Pre-ordered as at GBP£23.99 delivered, I have a use for this double with the track selection even if the cover isn't original

This is a Universal /MCA effort. The collectable stuff (vinyl rare) is on Warner ! So 1. It's going to be digital because that's standard universal and 2. It won't mean Wild Flowers reissue is coming soon. I doubt TP has had any involvement in this reissue. Why is this fetching $250 It was pretty common in Europe?

From what I've read the new Pink Floyd LPs sound great, and those are assumed to be digital.
Digi does not always equal disaster.

Did I say that? - just stating likely digital rather than analogue as some are hoping. Looks a no brainer judging by the asking prices for originals.

Vinyl brought to you by the fine and TRUSTWORTHY label "Commercial Marketing". My BS radar is high on this one without Universal putting it out, no US release, and no announcement from the band.

    It's now back to £23.33 on Amazon.uk

If it still shoes a $47.99, make sure you are really on Amazon.uk, and didn't get re-directed back to the US site. If that does happen, just search for it on Amazon.uk and you will get the correct price.

Yeah, I noticed ever since I ordered it from the UK Amazon, the link goes directly to Amazon US. Odd.

'Commercial Marketing' denotes a Universal release.

Ah! Thank you for that. I didn't see that as the label for the cd version and was thinking it was a non descript grey market European company. Faith in this went up a notch...

There's one going for over £300 on UK ebay at the minute. There were 4 on there a week or so ago at £250 - £300. I've got a MCA Dutch pressing digitally remastered by Joe Gastwirt. I paid £10 for it back in the day. :)

These prices just don't make sense for a compilation. Rarer records fetch much less even Wildflowers , Echo, She's The One and The Last DJ. Also the highest actual discogs sale was £135. Perhaps I'm just not a great fan of compilations - you are buying this for 2 tracks if you are a PT completest. This obviously makes the new edition a no brainer. That Dutch pressing is the only one ever released apart from in Brazil, so if it is digital the new one could be better sounding digital :).

I agree those prices are ridiculous. They were all 'buy it now's' so it's doubtful if there were any takers.

I expect the new edition will mean the prices will drop for the originals. It doesn't bother me any though as I've no plans on selling. The sonics are pretty good...very dynamic. I recall one or two of the earlier rocky tracks being a tad bright, but I suspect that may be the case on the original albums? but overall it ain't half bad at all.

I also have a German pressing of Wildflowers. Think that one cost £12 back in the day. Great recording.

Too bad they didn't use the extended running time of a 2LP set to pad out the tracklisting with some other '76-'93 songs...."Jammin' Me," "Rebels," etc. (or just follow that 2000-ish Anthology release tracklisting).
