Throwing another one out there, "The Americans" on FX is very good.

I tried Fortitude but thought it disappeared up its own backside after a few episodes.

There's a weird Scadinavian show, Jordskott, which is kind of a mix between a crime show and The X Files. To be honest, I'm still not sure what I thought of it...

"River" starring Stellan Skaarsgard, a London detective show with an unusual twist, and "Top of the Lake", starring "Mad Men's" Elizabeth Moss, a mystery series set in New Zealand from acclaimed film director Jane Campion ("The Piano"). Both are available on Netflix.

Really wanted to get the complete Twin Peaks- Mystery blu ray box, but it seems to have manufacturing faults.

I've mentioned this show on other threads but never got any feedback. I think I may be the only person in this forum that watches it. Season 3 begins tonight and I'm SO stoked!

    KINGDOM

Needless to say, I very highly recommend it!

I LOVED the first season. The second season was much more boring in comparison, but I think I'm alone in that. Everyone seems to prefer season 2.

I don't know yet. There's a 3rd season coming up, let's see what happens. Anyway, you could only watch season 1 as a standalone series. Season 2 is a completely different story (and a much less interesting one).

Just started with The Good Wife and pretty impressed with it.

Hap and Leonard, with Christina Hendricks, looked worth a run, but so-so first episode. Love her Southern accent in the show though...!

Orphan Black has descended into silliness, almost a soap opera at this point, but still fun and it has it's hooks in me. Also, watching Tatiana Maslany play all the different clones is pretty amazing, you actually forget they are the same person.

Also I want to give a nod to Penny Dreadful which earnestly tries to scare the heck out of you and has some good acting as well.

I have so far given up on Orphan Black. . . started this season, rolled my eyes too many times, and have just abandoned it. I WANT to like it. . .but I no longer feel it. So much to watch otherwise!

"Preacher" is starting off interesting. . . .
