i curious...the cover is from the 2008 reissue....but the last track is same as the 93 issue....

did they just use the 93 issue but replaced the cover with the 2008?

I got mine pre-ordered from Amazon UK as well, but their packaging is definitely hit and miss. Sometimes it's double boxed and shows up perfect. Sometimes it shows up in what amounts to heavy stock envelope, which always means crushed corners.

When you post links the Amazon UK...US addresses are pointed right to the Amazon US store.
At least, that's where it takes me.

This is a fine example of this vinyl regurgitation. $50 for a new pressing? My buns are ready for the puckering.

I see the price dropped to $35. Still too high.

I'd pay no more than $20 for this. It's just ridiculous what these companies are asking for all because of a fad.

even in the 90s vinyl was more expensive and it wasnt a fad then...

anyone know what nirvanas nevermind or alice in chains dirt or any other 90s album cost back then?

I don't remember vinyl costing that much in the 90s, granted we had given up on vinyl by then, so I wasn't really in the market for it. But I don't remember them having $35 price tags (would be quite a bit more in 2016 if we convert, or?). If anything, I remember stores offering discounts to get them out of the store.

so 30-35$ wasnt the norm? was it like 20-25? 15-20? do you remember? if all records were less than 30 even 2LP albums then the fad raised the price 10 or 15 dollars?

I have an original UK NIN- The Downward Spiral. It's a 2LP and the price was $24.99 on 2/24/95. Still has the price tag on the original wrapping

I don't quite remember. I was a bit young to truly take in the condition of things at the time, but I do remember the vinyl boxes dwindling. And wanting to take home some of the stuff, but there was no point seeing as our turntable was busted. The last time I remember seeing vinyl in the store, I walked out with more tapes. But I seem to recall it being around $20 for the ones they had. This would have been 1997, 1998.

Fad or not, nearly everything has raised in price since the 90s. That was at least 16 years ago.

Vinyl in UK which was last bastion was often £12 or more for a single Lp by 1994. I guess a double would be £15. A lot of vinyl was still around £10. So prices have roughly doubled in 20 years.

You act as though it's not something I wouldn't be interested in if weren't the price not ridiculous.

I ordered a 10" single from them the other week, it arrived in a stiff card mailer which was then packed inside a cardboard box which measured about 12 x 24 x 6 and was also stuffed with bunched up paper as protection. I was actually a bit disappointed at the amount of forest that had been cut down in order to ship one measly slab of vinyl.

$32 for a double LP is about average.
Sounds like you should start buying CDs.

I've already stopped buying vinyl. It's not worth the price tag.

What I'm saying is that this average is bull.
