Exactly. I've always understood that SOME Targaeryans are Dragons. Viserys always assumed it was him because he wanted it to be true.

 

Getting a pot of melted gold poured on your head is a bit different than withstanding fire (just saying - fantasy element taken into account).

Daenerys made that comment because at that point she had grown to hate her brother plus it displayed that her priorities and allegiances were changing and she was becoming hardened to death.

No, I'm saying getting a pot of molten gold is different than being able to resist fire. That said, I do think that Daenerys has a gift that probably few Targaryen's had. It makes her "Queen of Dragons". Viserys was just a chump poser.

We don't know much about Rhaegar other than he wasn't immune to getting bludgeoned by a hammer

 

I guess I get that. I've never been a Dungeons and Dragon guy myself. But it isn't about that. You can tell this exact same story involving Washington politicians, or even lower level mobsters and it would be just as compelling. It's about the story, not the clothes they are wearing.

I didn't even give the show a chance until last Feb.
When you just see a few commercials for it, you think, 'Meh... just knights and stuff..', and you can easily when it fly past your radar.

Bummer of the day - Season 7 will not start until summer 2017!!!

HBO has confirmed that “Game of Thrones” Season 7 will consist of seven episodes, set to shoot later this summer. As Variety first reported, executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are eyeing two shortened seasons to end the hit fantasy show, with Season 8 expected to be somewhere between 6 or 8 episodes. Production will be based in Northern Ireland, with additional portions filmed in Spain and Iceland. Season 7 is slated to premiere in summer 2017, later than its usual April start date.

 

Just as long as each episode is an HOUR AND A HALF LONG!

Well..... I'd take two EXTRA hours of 'filler', and by 'filler', I mean watching the characters just 'hanging out'; talking, eating, loving, going to the bathroom.... I'll take that, too!
