Is Tijuana Vol. 2 and The Brass Are Coming in the mix? I wouldn't mind having physical copies of them as well as Warm.

FYI: It looks like there are four titles coming on vinyl too: Going Places, Rise, South Of The Border, and What Now My Love.

I wish he would release vinyl of his recent albums with Lani.

It appears there are about 25 titles being re-released. The link is to an A&M collector's forum...

Ordered some as well. Not cheap, however price should come down (I hope) by release date.

I did see Herb Alpert at the Baltimore Civic Center when I was about 7. When I hear his name I think of the Soul Asylum "Clam Dip and Other Delights" parody of the album cover "Whipped Cream and Other Delights". They then signed with A&M after making that album.

"Bullish" has one of my all-time favorite songs by Herb, "Life Is My Song" (Glad that I have the original CD pressing)

As of today, the price for these 2016 re-masters is about $10 each...except, "Sounds Like" which is closer to $12. Why that one?

Wish these would have the stereo, mono, and single mixes.

I'd pay a premium for those.

Any indication as to whether these are better/worse than the Shout Factory issues? I know Whipped Cream has been out since last year. Was that an improvement? I guess what I am trying to figure out is do I just fill in the gaps in my Shout Factory collection or replace the whole thing with these?

Except if you pre-ordered from amazon.ca, not one in stock. Just pathetic.
They are a joke, the poor sister of the amazon chain.
I order from them as their pre-order prices are often great, & in Canadian $. Trade off is waiting weeks or months for music everyone else in the world had access to on release date.

So is there a general consensus on Herb's best albums? I would like to pick up a few and check them out. I'm assuming he had a prime period of his career. Thanks for any info!

Herb had stated "Volume 2" was not His Favorite TJB Album, because of all the Audience noises A&M put on,which irritated Him! Wonder if He's done a New Mix of it,removing those?

In the Tijuana Brass era, you can't go wrong with WHIPPED CREAM & OTHER DELIGHTS, GOING PLACES, and WHAT NOW MY LOVE. The two on either side of that trifecta are also worthy, SOUTH OF THE BORDER and SRO.

My discs arrived, but I won't get to listen to any of them for a few days. (Of course.)

    Any reviews?
