Got a birthday coming up in a couple weeks. If anyone has yet to pick out a present for me, you now know where to shop.

Why doesn't this shop SHIP product? It would all be gone by now :)

That's probably why they don't ship product :)

I used to live near there. Had to leave for work reasons. I miss that place.

Other than the Butcher covers and a few others (which aren't graded), it doesn't look that interesting, IMO.

We're going to need a wet/dry vac to clean up the massive puddle of drool around here. :)

It puzzles me why they would put those stickers on the covers. Put them in plastic sleeves and put the stickers on them. Geez...

If I was paying top dollar I would expect these in clear sleeves all the time. My go to store does this for items less than $10 routinely.

That's they way they do biz.
They recently switched to a new label that releases much easier... the old ones would do a lot of damage to the covers, but they were on there to deter theft through label swapping from what I was told.

Well good for them, but it's bad practice. Especially on those uber rare albums.

Around here, anything over $5 or $6 usually has a plastic sleeve over it. I would imagine the sticky price tag stuck to the label will deter a few buyers.

As far as doing it to prevent people from swapping sleeves, well that's just silly. He should know his prices, and if someone swapped an outer sleeve.

Re: stickers damaging album covers at PREX.

That was true when I was going there often in the '90s. Sometimes you could get it off without damage if the album had just come in and the sticker hadn't been on there long. But if the sticker had been on there awhile, you were SOL.

It's been 20 years since I was going there regularly; have only been there half a dozen times since. Surprised that cover/sticker situation is still the same, if that is really the case.

I will say, though, that the best albums in my collection, when you combine factors like condition and rarity, all came from there.

Probably Bill Paquin's collection. If so, I'd expect the next several months to be a once-in-a-lifetime vinyl collector's heaven at PREX.

Nice. That's basically all I'm missing in my set. Got the album, but don't got no box or book! :sweating:
