    Hi Guys,

There's been countless pages on this forum discussing the wonderful, amazing, dream-come-true Furmanek mixed Bear Family set from the Hermits.

I truly adore it and play it to death but now I want more.
Did anybody compile a list of the songs not on the set?
    Thanks,
    Javi

I'm not sure but there's the big box set that has just about everything on it. If you obtained that, then you'd have the original mixes as well.

    Thank you, buddy!
I've read that boxed set has appallingly bad sound quality, and to add fuel to the fire, they've added the same song twice without noticing -I think it was "Something's happening".

Well yeah. I wouldn't really call it appalling. It's a bit loud. I'm not sure how much NR was put into the box. I mainly just thought it was loud. If you can track down the old Best of EMI discs (two of them), those sound really good. You won't get everything, but you'd get a good chunk of stuff in great sound without noise reduction and loudness. Otherwise I'm not sure how to find all their stuff easily with the best sound.

I have the Japan mini LP CDs from about 10-15 years ago, in addition to the Most box set and The Bear Family box set, which is excellent, although Peter Noone had numerous post-Hermits solo recordings which need to be given their own reissue. As for the post-Noone Hermits, I've heard good things about their recordings from the 1970s, but never pursued them. To me, it's not really Herman's Hermits without Peter Noone.

Here is a thread I wrote a couple years ago proposing a potential collection of Peter Noone's solo works.

Poll: Which label could you see releasing a Peter Noone collection?* »

Thing is most of those tracks are already on the Bear family set and I am looking for what is NOT on the Bear Family Set.

I'm sorry it didn't have No Milk Today which I only heard for the first time this past year and instantly became my favorite HH song.

"Wings of Love" isn't on it, that's another great track.

The Bear Family compilation does have it, in stunning fidelity (of course!).

Get the box then. Keep in mind, these tracks are different mixes so technically they are not on the Bear Family set.

Problem is as I said, the sound on the box is horrible.
There is a song included twice in the same version my mistake... in the same disc.
Dream On has a mastering error where it goes silent for a second in the middle.

So I did the dirty work and these are the songs not included in the Bear Family set.
Wouldn't it be neat to get all these also remixed to stereo along with the unreleased covers album?

I like the sound better on the 2CD set (very Best Of) over the 4CD box (Mickie Most Years).

    Interesting!
I will have to look that one up.
I've read the 4 CD set is copied directly from Japanese CDs.

    Bump!
These guys need a better released collection, including the Peter Noone stuff.
Other than a 'greatest hits' and a bunch of 45's, my collection is pretty dire.
    Peter's still 'something good' too...

I found out that the road manager of Herman's Hermits back in the day was Randy Barlow, who would later become a country star in the 70s-80s.

If the HH material on the Mickie Most 4CD was taken from the 4 Japanese volumes, I'd be curious to know the source of the Peter Noone solo tracks. Unlike some unauthorized releases which contained PN solo tracks sourced from needledrops, the versions found on the Mickie Most 4CD are an improvement over those at least.

I would like to see Bear Family do one of their big boxes on HH.
Not just 2 CDs, but 6-8 CDs (including some PN solo stuff).
