Robert Smith of The Cure played one on the 1986 greatest hits tour (see In Orange) which is what got me into them... I'm now just as likely to play country licks on mine as I am a phasey-droney-echoey solo. The Tele can do so much so well. ‎

Justin Hayward recorded his first solo albums with The Moody Blues on a Tele (there was even a special topic about this instrument on the Forum here) before opting for a Gibson 335.

Here he plays his wonderful solo in Peak Hour at 4'00 (as well as Tuesday Afternoon and Nights In White Satin later on):

This is the first in a series of videos about the restoration of Mike Bloomfield's Telecaster. I know nothing about guitar repair and I found it quite interesting.

Dan Erlewine is the dean of guitar repair.

I read an article last year about the same process in Guitar World. Definitely fascinating.

I see someone has posted Clarence White and his original b-bender equipped tele. Here is that same guitar, now owned by Marty Stuart - a really good tele player!

This one might be worse than Gilmour:

Another Marty Stuart clip (this time with McGuinn himself) doing a Byrd's tune (via Dylan) off Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

Ah yes! Ed Bickert would have been next on my list to post - smooth as silk! Neat to see a pic of Kessel playing a tele - must've been session work.

I do believe it's time Daniel is out trying to make his mark on his own. The same as JD Simo with his latest European tour.

Don Kelley is a recruiter of great young guitarists that know how to play a Tele (and Gibsons as well). Daniel Donato, JD Simo, Porter McClister, Guthrie Trapp and Johnny Hiland. It's incredible the talent he finds.

Though, a lot on the internet may know them (DKB) as the band the drummer fell out of the window in Nashville...

I've read elsewhere that it was actually an esquire with routs for the other pickup.

I've seen a picture of him playing a sunburst tele as well.
