  2. Looking forward to the vinyl release of Royal Albert Hall.
36 CDs of Bob performing songs slightly differently?..... Nah.

I received my copy of "Ghost of Electricity" today. The timing couldn't be better.

For me, one show a day while I'm at work. Will be fascinating to see the performances develop during the tour.

that album i need. i compiled parts of both nights into a recreation of as complete a set as i could assemble. i feel like some parts are even better than on the Manchester gig.

I also want to say props to the BD team for putting out the behemoth before the RRAH show. I think that will boost sales on the big box set for those of us who can't wait.

Amazon has appropriate packaging per musical genre. Dole pineapple rubber band sounds pretty punk to me.

I think we can credit Jones with providing a lot of the power and consistency that Dylan was able to derive from the band during the 'electric' sets.

Is the 4/19 Melbourne audience tape (not to be confused with the long-available 4/20 Melbourne show) previously uncirculated? Did I miss it somehow?

    Count me out.

And no, I didn't go for the last one either having been there on the Bootleg Series since Vol 1-3.

Wouldn't have minded a complete show from the period to go with the "Royal Albert Hall" but this much?

    36 CDs? That's just silly.

Yes, if you consider Rolling Stone verification.

    From the RS article:

The first Royal Albert Hall performance will also come out as the stand-alone release The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert. . . . It will come out as a double-LP set on November 25th and as a double-CD set on December 2nd.

    Well THAT won't happen!!

Having skipped the previous 18 wheeler, I'm in for this set. Incredible value (thanks Bob's People!); incredible music; no spindle; no 45's that I would just toss out.

I might buy two! What a wild ride!!

This is amazing. The content, and the price point. I was growing concerned that it might be expensive, although either @keef285 or @Mbd77 , among other great and tantalizing teases, mentioned it would be affordable. Btw, kudos to you two for making the build up to the announcement so much fun!

That'll make it heavier than the Cutting Edge box

    $120 for about 17 different songs? That's over 7 bucks a song. Insane! ;)

Yoko's going on the backburner. Like, I'll probably wait until all the albums are out and get them all together.

Not to nit-pick, but the 1963 set was very light on studio outtakes. Perhaps nothing more exists, but I tend to think that they got tight-fisted and conservative the second time around, and then with the 1964 set reverted back to putting out everything and anything. Although they probably put out the best stuff anyway, especially with plenty of Times outtakes scattered over releases. Maybe they have a handful of aborted takes. I like having the studio stuff from '64, but it hardly bears repeat listenings.

    From bobdylan.com:

Columbia/Legacy will also release Bob Dylan’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall from May 26, 1966 (two days after the artist’s 25 birthday) as an album entitled The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert.

The excitement here shows you that there's real demand for this stuff. Why's that silly? It has made my day/week/year.
