This looks like serious money. Perhaps his recent fondness for touring is to leave his children something quite substantial.

He's only doing 3 shows between Halloween and March, but I know what you mean.. and selfishly I would much prefer him to be spending a lot more time in the studio recording new songs than doing even more touring

Missed him in Brooklyn this past September, but glad I may get another chance to see his brilliance in person.

I may go to the Knoxville show if I can get decent seats. I'd love it if Honkin' Down The Highway made it back into the setlist.

I clicked on the link for the show I'd go to in May 2017.
Then the dreaded TicketMonster came up. UGH.

    I'll try the box office...

r u kidding me dawg- i just saw it this weekend. of course ill go, thats not the point so brian, despite his back problem and of course his mind n stuff.....brian IS generally in good physical health at this stage, otherwise no way he could be on tour this long. this tour is insane how huge it is. I finally had an opportunity to meet Alan, it was serious business. everyone else was real bubbly but i didnt crack a smile once. i thanked him for all the great experiences over the years

Has the touring band been announced? I would love to see David Marks and Blondie Chaplin part of the band.

The website for the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville has Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin listed so I assume it's the same band.

The poll seems kind of off-base to me. A new studio album is either going to come or it's not, regardless of touring schedule...and if you want it to involve new, original songs, it's going to take a long time to get those together. There were six years between Imagination and Gettin' In Over My Head, four years between that and TLOS (though I guess there was a Christmas album in there two), four years between that and TWGMTR. In the three calendar years 2009, 2010, and 2011, Brian put out 2 new albums (one of which was wonderful), but no original songs. The three years separating the Beach Boys 50th and No Pier Pressure even seems like a pretty short length of time by Brian's late-career pace, which has been perfectly respectable, and there's no reason to think he can or should whip together a new album two years after that, unless it's the album of rock and roll covers he's been promising/threatening for 20 years.

I mean, hell, he's working a lot faster than one of his biggest fans, Jason Pierce of Spiritualized, who is 23 years younger and who has still put out exactly 3 albums in the last 15 years.

36 shows from 3/27/17 to 5/28/17 - essentially averaging about a show every other day for two months. :sigh:

I sincerely hope he is up for that schedule.

I saw him in Seattle last weekend and I thought he seemed tired and pretty 'done' with the tour, which has been going since last Spring at least, so I'm surprised to see so many dates for 2017. It strikes me as a little weird that his 'final Pet Sounds tour' is hitting the same city, same venue about seven months apart.

( I enjoyed the show though - his last encore Love and Mercy seemed to perk him up and he was in fine voice.)

This blows. Pre-sale started today for people with venue membership. Looks like I'll be lucky to get 20th row seats by Friday. Damn.

Both. Music is what he do and I'd love an album but he made a new one just a year ago so I don't expect it.

You missed one. I am a gambler and Harrahs Laughlin sent me a email for a pre sale of tix for the show may 20 2017.
If you want tix for this show, the email said the public can buy them on the 14th at 10 am.
