This One, he actually sings the entire song, unlike every other person or group thats ever tried.

CrazyCatz Great shot kid. Don't get cocky!

Went with Jeff's.. Before this I'd only heard Alexandra Burke sing it on Xfactor or summat..didn't dig Her rendition.. But Jeff's is Hauntingly Good.. Will check out Leonard Cohen's as soon as own..Missus thinks we have a Leonard Album on Vinyl..just can't get to till decorating done..

  10. My faves are Leonard Cohen & John Cale & I voted for Leonard's (loving the live versions the most), but all the choices here do beautiful versions of this amazing song...

I'm really glad Alexandra Burke isn't an option.

It's on her albums Real Emotional Girl and Matador: The songs of Leonard Cohen. Here's a live rendition:

Maybe someone could find and post a link, but KD Lang's live version at a Canadian awards show was incredible. I'm not a fan, but she killed it.

I don't mind Alexandra Burke's version but I can see why some folks might be put off by the X Factor stuff.

John Cale's is the definitive version, for me. Sad and stately. Buckley based his arrangement off of Cale's, not Cohen's.

Yup, I think it's an awful song and Jeff Buckley's the worst rendition, however this version is the most listenable I've heard.

Excuse, me, but Leonard Cohen's is the definitive version.

This may sound funny to some here, but i never cared for this song until i heard the original for the first just recently, so for me it's Leonard Cohen by far.
