I only have the 2011 and 2016 plus needle drops of a UK original and quad, so I stayed out of this. :D

Still haven't received the 2016, but I see the poll has closed.

That would be the point! Go for it.

"Not fair" would be if you played one on a crappy setup and the other on a nice one.

The more data points you get, the more science is possible.

I'm on my second Cartridge Man Music Maker (had a mk 2 now a mk 3) - it's the most natural, musical and open sounding cartridge I've ever heard that I could just about afford - I know just how much you can actually pay for cartridges can go stratospheric but £775 is still a lot of money in my book, and I had the Cartridge Man Len Gregory personally set it up my Nottingham Analogue Deck!

My previous cartridges by the way were a Goldring 1042 and a Sumiko Blue Point - both excellent for the money, but the Music Maker is in a different league.

Nope; and, frankly, of all the albums I can think of, this may be one of the ones where I'd least want one - not because of sonic benefit, but because of what it'd do to the flow of the album.

I concur. It closed before my BG DSOTM showed up from the UK, and I preordered it.

I was too late. Prefer the 2016 but there are better versions.

I said I would do a shoot out once I received the 2016, unfortunately my copy turned up looking like the Himalayas, so I'd rather not have my SpaceArm dancing all over the place, so it'll have to go back and I'll have to wait for a replacement... :(

My Wall album showed up a few weeks ago with a really bad warp on slab 2.

2 1/2 hours in the Vinyl Flat, and it's as good as new. No need to wait 2 weeks for my replacement. I'm surprised that most of you don't own a VF. It is well worth the monies!

ya ya, someday when I have over ten LPs that need it and the extra cash falls in my hands.
The thing is, if it's new you expect it to be in playable condition right out of the cover.

I have both will need time to compare. I do like my 2003 as it is flat and without any surface noise.
Also have a sealed copy if something ever happens to the other one.

In short. Buy either one and you should to happy. 2016 new should be cheaper/quicker to buy. I do like my 2003 better.

The 30th 2003 is getting very expensive now, especially sealed copies.

Just ordered the 2016 UK version. Will compare it to my quiet, awesome 30th (my favorite) and my A3/B2 UK copy (would be my fav if not for a massive defect on Time). I've got an HTM F12 (IIRC) pressing as well that's a treat in its own right. A day of DSOTM...?

yes, I bought a second one after I opened one to play and said to self, my this is good, for only another $15.00 dollars I should be good for awhile.
I also play the CD copies often.

How did your test come out. I like my 2003 over the UK 2016, still a nice release in its own right, right?
