Songs that include a passage from Hendrix

I looked! I did not find a thread with this, or "sample," or "clip" or anything that matched what I am asking about...

Name a song, and maybe give an example of a song that includes a passage from the great Jimi Hendrix. I was shocked... SHOCKED! ...To hear Right Said Fred's "Too Sexy" in a store the other day. The thing that shocked me most was the bit of "Third Stone..." at 1:12.

 

1967 the Amboy Dukes - Baby Please Don't Go

 

Paul McCartney. The live version of "Let Me Roll It" on "Good Evening New York City" includes a passage from "Foxy Lady". I think it is a tribute to Hendrix. It has been a part of his live repertoire for the last ten years.

 

Extreme's "Rest in Peace." You can hear Nuno go to "Voodoo Chile" at 3:58...

 

I was listening to Santana's Lotus last night and definitely noticed a few Hendrix nods in there, including a reference to "Third Stone", though I can't recall which track specifically featured that.

Squeeze 853-5937 has a bit of Night Bird Flying in the guitar break.

Right Said Fred - I'm too Sexy has a bit of Third Stone from the Sun in it.

 

Part of the Dani California solo is taken from Purple Haze.

 

Frank Zappa in "We're Turning Again" - quick quote of the Purple Haze intro riff after the lyric "your haze was so purple".

 

Blue Cheer's cover of "Summertime Blues" quotes the "Foxy Lady" riff.
