Got the vinyl, and I am pleased, I have not played my older Hollywood bowl Capitol release in 20 years because it was so
poorly done, Kudos for the effort !!

Speaking of the Beatles and the Yardbirds: The Yardbirds (with Eric Clapton, standing in the second row at the back, in the center) were on the bill opening up for the Beatles during their Xmas run of UK shows in late 1964/early 1965:

Ditto for me, except I was more '70s and '80s. But the thought is exactly the same, even 30+ years later (for me).

I don't mind the screaming at all... While I can see where some folks may not like it, to me it adds to the atmosphere of it all... If I wanted to listen to perfect (audience free) versions of the songs, I'd just listen to their studio albums... :)

Not in the photo. The OP meant that Terry Knight and The Pack also covered the Yardbirds' song "Mr You're A Better Man Than I".

This photo is kind of disturbing because the 'stiffs' :) on the right side of the line-up look eerily like the mannequins on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's.

Maybe those weren't actually wax figures that were used and these cats were hired instead, 2 1/2 years later, for the Pepper photo shoot?!!! :D

Yes. It is a fun occasional listen. And it may have the definitive version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" now.

Someone said "Mr You're a Better Man Than I" in a post (not meaning a song; they used this wording as a form of expression).
Someone else said that is a Yardbirds song.
Someone (me) posted a photo of the Yardbirds with the Beatles and the other supporting acts of the late 1964 Beatles UK Xmas concerts.
Someone @rjp mentioned Terry Knight and The Pack, referring back to the Yardbirds song "Mr You're a Better Man Than I", which Terry Knight and The Pack covered. BUT since that was posted right after the photo, another person got confused and thought that meant that Terry Knight and The Pack were also in the photo.
Someone (me again) said that Terry Knight and The Pack were not in the photo, and that they covered the song "Mr You're a Better Man Than I".
Someone @rjp apologized for the slightly badly worded post that caused the confusion.
    Someone @culabula was still confused.

    Got it? ... ;)

Not even maybe, the Hollywood Bowl I Want to Hold Your Hand is missing John's guitar and his high vocal on the chorus. Rubbish.

You're a Better Man Than I is a line from an 1892 poem by Rudyard Kipling "Gunga Din"

So Mr Kipling popularized the line in the first place. Interesting:

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the living Gawd that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din
