    Not new!!!
ordered them in Japan auction for very good price
just the shipping expenses sucks if send them by airfreight --- surface-seamail was ok to Hamburg just takes some more. Time ±8 weeks
Unfortunately the japs stop service shipping by sea mail end of January --- very sad story
    Cheers

Ha, mine was given to me also. It had a faulty channel which was really only a bad solder connection on the right input jack. Love an easy fix like that.

I used the PA4 boards in mine. At the time I also replaced the filter caps and installed the hyper-fred soft recovery rectifier MC sells. While in there I installed new RCA jacks as well as new speaker binding posts. It was a fun project and worked without losing any smoke the first time I turned it on. Adjust dc offset and bias and let her run for a while.

Oh yeah, I also rewired with Audioquest solid copper wire anywhere signal was running. I can only guess at the number of amps I've owned over the last 20 years or so, some fairly expensive amps, and I'm done looking.

Both my preamp and my amp are a combination of vintage and non-vintage build. The preamp has transformer coupled inputs and output that use very old Western Electric iron. Most of the resistors and capacitors are also selected and tested vintage parts (mostly from the 1950's and 1960's). The chassis is recycled from 1950s electronics. While the main volume pot is a modern motorized pot (remotely controlled), the Daven ladder pots used for balance control are ancient. The tubes are four Western Electric 310a and four 311a tubes.

My amp is also a modern build, but it is based on a very old Western Electric design (133a amp). It uses the correct Western Electric input transformers and the correct output transformers. Most of the other components are also very vintage, but, not all are Western Electric parts. The power transformer is a modern model. The tubes are Western Electric 248 and 249 (four of each type).

Bought a Marantz 2220 b a few weeks ago at a local thrift store for $4,
Dirty looking inside and out ........cleaned it op inside and out........Put deoxit around all the pots....................really did not expect to have the end result that I got .
Perfect sound quality........no issues whatsoever .........just need to replace the distinctive Blue lights.
Just had this amazing historic machine playing for the last 3 hours without any issues !

That would be fine, too. But they'd have to be really good deals.

It's Mesa as in Mesa Boogie guitar amps. Surely that rings a bell.

For my understanding couple of facts create the price
It's like with every Vintage Gear it depends on the
The all and all conditions of the amp or receiver or car or
Speakers or whatever + rarety + want have factor and some more
Sometimes some hombres try to hype things
We'll beside there are tons excellent Audio Vintage gear
    around as we all know
    Cheers
Enjoy the weekend with lots of music
