  1. Noticed that at the time, and did you notice that it had disappeared halfway through Weekend Update? -- somebody must have touched him up while Colin was on-camera alone.

Going on old memories, I think the only really productive aspect of 1980-81 was that Eddie Murphy emerged. He gave the show a much-needed shot in the arm and was pretty much the main redeeming factor, IMO.

I was 13 back then and an easy audience, but even I thought that year kinda sucked! :D

1985-86 just had a weird cast - way too many "real actors" and not enough comedians/improv actors. There's a ton of talent in that cast, but they were wrong for "SNL".

I still watched "SNL" regularly in 1994-95 and don't recall that season being terrible...

I saw Bobby Moynihan advertised as part of a new sitcom on CBS this fall. Can we assume he's leaving the show? I don't recall seeing an announcement.

Ever see the "Melanie Babysits" sketch?

That sums up what 1994-95 found funny. People are still appalled by that ill-advised sketch to this day. Jeanine Garofalo's criticisms of the season weren't far off.

So it's not a Fourvel-Stabs-a-Guest-a-Week show? Too bad, that :p

Yeah. It's not great, but I don't see any reason its so upsetting either, which is what it sounds like you're suggesting.

Thanks for the link. There's no indication of what happened. Just that he and she are dumb. Any offense taken is understood, but was obviously not intended to be making light of the horrific.

Aww no. I love Vanessa. I don't care for bar mitvah boy or Miley Cyrus, but I love her Laura Parsons and Brecky the ex-porn star. J-Pop America Funtime Wow was also great.

Goodbye to her. Bayer hit the news a month ago about a joke she made, I didn't think it was funny--can't discuss it here. So long....

Okay that was weird. SNL recreated the "Hallelujah" tribute but with Trump singing. That's the first time I've ever seen an SNL sketch that was intended to be a parody/reference of a previous SNL sketch.

They're giving Bobby and Vanessa all the leads tonight. Wasn't sure what kinda send off they'd both get.
