Please post your news dealing with this future project here!

  2. Lets see....
    Living In These Hard Times
    Beltane
    A Stitch in Time
    Broadford Bazaar

and possibly Blues Instrumental as bonus tracks (not sure if this is a Stormwatch outtake).
Plus whatever else they can find in the vaults -previously unknown to us (I'm sure there is something worthwhile).
A complete live concert recording from '78 and likely some concert video (Madison Square Garden we already have on DVD, but maybe some additional footage will be acquired / flown in from another show?)
A new stereo and 5.1 mix 'natch!

I expect some alternate versions of the final songs since the SFTW logbook clearly calls out HH sessions in mid/late 1977, yet the album itself says recorded Jan 1978. Or it means there are more unreleased gems......

The live era of this album has been covered pretty well. I'd be stunned if they bothered to dig up yet another HH show. Maybe they'll just add Bursting Out as a bonus. Jakko-ed of course.

According to the liner notes of the 20 Years box set, it was recorded during the Stormwatch sessions.

David Rees mentioned in A New Day magazine that there is also an "pretty much finished" unreleased track called "Horse-Hoeing Husbandry", that was recorded either during the Heavy Horses or Stormwatch sessions.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't that track recorded as a single between Heavy Horses and Stormwatch?

  9. I don't recall. It was released in '78 along with Bursting Out and sounds more like it belongs to the Heavy Horses sessions more than Stormwatch.

I thought I read that the notes in the box regarding this song may not be accurate, but it was awhile ago so I'm not sure (and I got no link).

  10. It definitely has the "Heavy Horses hoarse" vocals from IA... I really like that obscure yet catchy single anyway.

I think it should be included here (I have put it at my Bonustrack Version) but I hope they take the long version this time.

    Living in these Hard Times
    Beltane
    Rover (without strings)
A Stitch In Time (long version)
    Kelpie

There are two identical singles with the same catalog-numbers. But you can distinguish them as one has printed ca 3:45 on the label and the other one ca 4:25

  15. But was John Glascock absent at some point during the HH sessions? Hence IA playing the bass himself on aSiT...

John played on the Heavy Horses sessions and on the European leg of the tour, but he had to skip the American tour due to medical condition. A Stich in Time was recorded as a single between the albums.

Yeah there is a refrain cut out that only had vocals and bass in the beginning, then adds the piano and then shortly before the end the full band again.

"Kelpie" was definitely recorded during the Stormwatch sessions.

  23. So the 20th Anniversary Box contains the short version. I have never heard the long version.
