What's insufficient about the complete series that's available on Hulu? Are the episodes cut or something?

I had bought the first three seasons on DVD years ago, then the final three seasons at iTunes.

Shout Factory seems to be a bit late to the party (and their SRP appears rather high).

I imagine most here would just prefer the DVDs.

If their past releases are any indication, they'll eventually release the final seasons individually.

A few years ago, I would have held out for them myself.

But, I now find myself watching mostly watching old TV shows on my ipad while in bed.

Since much of my free time is now spent converting DVDs and blurays to mp4 files, previously-bought content from iTunes (available for streaming or downloading) just makes my life easier.

I believe the non-dvd seasons are cut syndicated versions....

And the series appears to be gone off Hulu anyhow...no doubt related to the upcoming release.

The casting in this show is inspired and amazing. Whoever could have imagined pairing Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor as headliners in what could have been a solid but unremarkable sitcom? And that bombed-out wreck of a house was unlike any TV set before or since. And Vic Mizzy's music! I never get tired of watching Green Acres.

"Oliver Douglas" was a play-on the names of two, famous Supreme Court justices: Oliver Wendell Holmes and William Douglas.

$139.99!!! are they F'n NUTS??? with the prices they charge for a DVD a BR box would be in order at that price...fat chance of that EVER...missed opportunity. I guess they want to make the most profit...move onto reality shout. This sucks because I have to have this...LOL.
or I could wait for the individual seasons...nah, too long.

'Bout time! Hotscakes for everyone! It would be sort of cool if this included the Return To Green Acres TV movie as a bonus.

It's been several decades since I last watched any reruns of "Green Acres", but for those who do watch it, I was wondering if the term "wetback" remains intact in the dialogue or if it is edited out. I recall Mexican grade school friends in the 70s being surprised that the term was used when they saw those episodes since it was already considered pretty derogatory just a few years after the show ceased production.

I'm very glad to read this news... Yeah, I have the three seasons that were released by MGM, but this complete series will be a definite purchase at some point...

I am really excited about this news. I have had seasons 1-3 for many years but this show deserves a complete series set. I am hoping that it will sell for a lot less than the MSRP though.

I'm guessing you'll be able to snag it on Amazon for something like $75. :)

With previous Shout releases you could preorder from them, get it cheaper and have it a month earlier than ordering from other places.

I watched a bunch of episodes a few months agowhen Antenna TV (?) had a marathon and I think "Green Acres" is a show that is best talked about for some funny situations than actually watching for 25 minutes an episode. But kudos for Oliver and Lisa for actually having one large bed instead of two smaller separate ones.

I read the Richard Sandomir book on the making of "Pride of the Yankees" and while Gary Cooper was the choice from the beginning to play Lou Gehrig, thete were quite a few people championing Eddie Albert for the role.
