...a great historical 'snap shot ' of the doors during the maimi trial...:) not just Jim but ray, Robby and Johns career was on the line. In the hard press dig. :shh:

Didn't I read somebody here say that Robbie hits one of the all time bad notes during this show? If so, wonder if it'll be fixed?

For those who've heard boots and such, is this a good show? Is it something Doors fans are excited about?

What would be one of the all time bad notes? The brown note? :hide:

  7. It's been available in pretty much perfect bootleg quality for awhile. It's not one of the best shows from 1970 that's for sure.

R.I.P. Murray Lerner, the Oscar-winning filmmaker who, among other great films, directed the filming of the Isle of Wight festival in 1970. The Doors' performance at the Isle of Wight has never been seen. “The Doors: Live at the Isle of Wight 1970” will be released for the first time in early 2018.

That pretty much sums it up. It is not a great Doors show, but it is still The Doors, and along with the multitracked audio, it is pro-shot, so that makes it noteworthy.

  15. A new source came out a few years ago. Sounds similar in quality to an official release.

Have had the boot of this, PALACE OF EXILE, for a number of years. I like it very much and the sound quality is excellent.
Although Jim is a bit subdued, it is still a fun listen.

From the video that has come out through the years, I don't think the performance was anything special visually, though the band, and especially Jim, looked extremely cool. On the other hand, I think the sound and the performance was excellent. The setlist is fine, the band is tight as usual, and Jim's singing is great. It's always been a favorite concert of mine.

Good to know this will be coming out soon. I've listened to some of the Isle of Wight show and agree that while it's not fiery per se, it'll be nice to hear as well see the performance in remastered form. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, it's a straight up Rock and Roll Concert. Highly recommended as Morrison delivers a strong business like performance.

Like the show, very exciting about this, hope don't mess with this one.

for sure will get BD, DVD, CD, LP, expensive T-Shirt and stickers on all of them.

BTW, it will include a docu as Live At The Bowl BD? any insider can give us some info?

    Not to threadcrap....

But does anyone know when the new guitar parts, keyboard parts etc. (overdubs) were done on the 1991 In Concert release ? Were the tunes that are also on Alive, she Cried overdubbed or was the Alive, she Cried release before the added parts ?

Oh to stay on topic...I only have the tune, The End, of the Isle of Wight show...that comes on the Message to Love soundtrack.
