    My father was born under nazi occupation. He had a front row seat for 'A Bridge Too Far' except he was only three, but he has dim memories of a dead soldier hanging from a parachute and starving. Biggest music lover (and a performer still) and I guess the first record collector I ever met. Who knows what music he heard early on to grab his imagination, maybe something like the recording that started this thread? :cool:

    Steve - are you referring to the audio transfer for the YouTube clip because presumably the music was recorded originally with a single microphone, when the record was made?

    I love the look of that tonearm. Modern tonearms have been so focused on output quality (not a bad thing) that they have very little character.
