1968 Yardbirds sessions to see release?!

I wonder if "that Garden Tapes bloke" will do a piece on this release?

 

I didn't get a shipping notice yet either -- maybe they are processing orders going to the UK before orders going to the US.

 

Whatever they're doing, I'm regretting not ordering from Amazon or another proper vendor.

 

I wouldn't worry or regret. I ordered the CD set from Amazon. And even with the release date listed asNovember 17, Amazon has notified me stating that they aren't exactly sure of the delivery date. So the supply-line for this item might not be streamlined to function perfectly.

 

I was going to wait this out to see if the price dropped in a couple of months, but importcds has it for $21.18 plus a 10% off code that just went active today, so I ordered it.

 

Just arrived, don't know how to post a photo here tho - listening now and yes it's weird now hearing the overdubbed applause on the live set!

 

Wait a minute. You mean: NOT hearing the overdubbed applause. Didn't they remove the bullfighting cheers?

I will say this, you'll need a magnifying glass for the booklet! My home system is crap but so far it sounds great, very happy it's finally come out

 

Thanks for the info! I'm usually mellow about this stuff, but I have to say, I'm pretty pissed off that many of us early pre-orderers haven't even gotten shipment notifications yet. But I'm very happy to see that copies are arriving. Really looking forward to this!

This seems to be trend. (See, if you dare, the Bob Dylan Gospel box set thread.) Pre-orders are left wondering when their delivery will arrive while those who order on the day of release get their items dispatched properly.

 

Well I ordered this as soon as it was announced and live in the UK so I guess that's why it's arrived quickly - cannot speak to why some folks are not getting shipping emails tho...

Well, that's progress.

 

I ordered 2-3 weeks ago. No shipping notice yet.

 

I ordered back in August. No notice yet either. And I've sent three emails to them over the past few weeks and not received a single response.

 

I got mine a couple of hours ago, vast improvement over the withdrawn version, most of KR's song intro's have been removed, as have all the overdubbed crowd noises. excellent stuff.

 

Oh, no, don't like Keith's intros being removed in theory... know them like the back of my hand.... "Jimmy 'magic fingers, grand sorcerer etc.'

 

Check your spam folder, that’s where I found my shipment notice, maybe yours is there too.

 

I ordered via Amazon (USA), which lists the release date as November 17th. So I'm not expecting it until next week at the earliest.
