It has been growing on me. GVF really did a lot with it. The original is not something I would ever listen to!!

 

Where the hell is the vinyl?

 

They just announced a limited vinyl edition of the "Black Smoke Rising" EP on December 8th.

 

What an absolutely colossal way to fail to take advantage of the buzz around your band. I doubt it's the guys in the band themselves, so I feel sorry for them. Imagine being such a big buzz band without a product that willing customers can find. I finally see now that Amazon is scheduled to get more copies in, on CD anyway, later this week, but as of yesterday even it all said "Not in Stock". Local independent shops around me don't even have them in the system.

 

The current state of record distribution is really letting these guys down. CDs and vinyl should be everywhere.

I just got a text that my CD will arrive today. I pre-ordered it on Halloween.

 

Unfulfilled desire builds anticipation I would say.

They won't loose any fans over this delay.

Selling out of stock probably means sales exceeded expectations.... which is a good thing(?).

Production budget may have been limited.... The success/demand of 1 of Sammy Hagar's 90's solo albums actually bankrupted the small label who produced it.

So, whatever the reason for the lack of stock.... it will be okay I am sure.

...and Greta Van Fleet is experiencing healthy growth from what I can glean.

 

I also pre-ordered on Halloween, but mine didn't ship until today (arriving Friday).

 

I never got mine yesterday. It was out for delivery twice via Amazon's own delivery service. It is now "out for delivery" a third time. Hopefully it will actually make it to my doorstep this time!

 

If one must have it immediately there is always the download option - MP3 or hi-res.

For those who would like to know. A very kind rep for the band gave me a copy of the newest cd. They will come in a UMG jewel case that has all the lyrics printed in the booklet.

 

Well they're sold out in Lawrence Kansas for a December show...guess their social media presence is working.

 

Amazon & the USPS seem to have some kind of weird glitch going on with their tracking system... same thing has happened to we with three of my last deliveries... check the actual tracking number (if available) on the USPS site for an accurate delivery date.

 

I just got my CD finally. Glad to have the lyrics.

 

I'd be interested to see what kind of crowds they're pulling in terms of age. Majority on the 30+ end of the spectrum?

 

For the LA Troubadour show, I'd honestly say it was 45+... The floor where I was standing had several gray hairs and ear plugs while the balconies looked to be all 50+ even.

I even had a guy in front of me try to talk smack and ask, "are you going to be standing there all night?" Ahh yeah, sold out show in a small venue and we all want to be near the stage... I said 'yeah, its a rock n roll show...'

He apologized by the end of the night

 

Yeah, that's closer to what I assumed would be the case. That right there should squash anyone's fantasies about these guys "blowing up".

 

Nope. Not gonna waste my time with that nonsense. Not an ounce of originality, their lyrics suck and their promo pics look like that.

 

When I watch their live vids on YouTube, I see and hear a lot of young females.

The vid you posted wasn't really one of their gigs. It was done at KLOS radio's new "Studio 9" facility that they created for bands to be able to play live after a radio interview.
