  9. I've always thought it was John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band with Yoko's mirroring John's but with their positions reversed on the cover. As I recall it's also on the spin not to be pedantic.

This isn’t an exact list. I’ve avoided picking more than one album by the same artist and, in some cases, my choice of record probably reflects the mood I’m in tonight; on another night, you might see Low ahead of Ziggy or One Day I’m Going To Soar instead of Don’t Stand Me Down. I’ve also chosen my favourite album by a particular band rather than the one I’d consider to be objectively their best, which is why 20/20 gets in ahead of Pet Sounds or Friends. In spite of this, it’s an honest list and anyone who doesn’t think 90 Bisodol is the best Biscuits album is just plain wrong.

    1. Astral Weeks-Van Morrison
    2. Don’t Stand Me Down-Dexys Midnight Runners
    3. The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars-David Bowie
    4. Blonde On Blonde-Bob Dylan
    5. 90 Bisodol (Crimond)-Half Man Half Biscuit
    6. Have One On Me-Joanna Newsom
    7. Who Killed Amanda Palmer-Amanda Palmer
    8. Help!-The Beatles
    9. On Again, On Again-Jake Thackray
    10. Fisherman’s Blues-The Waterboys
    11. Peasant-Richard Dawson
    12. Red Roses For Me-The Pogues
    13. No Other-Gene Clark
    14. George Best-The Wedding Present
    15. The Life Pursuit-Belle and Sebastian
    16. 20/20-The Beach Boys
    17. Sunshine On Leith-The Proclaimers
    18. Can’t Stand The Rezillos-The Rezillos
    19. The Stone Roses-The Stone Roses
    20. Paris 1919-John Cale
