Mine too! Cool but emotive singer and in Pretty ballerina he really shines.
I'm googling to find a Steve Martin bio and can't seem to find a good one. Now I read someone that says his mother is a Spanish Flamenco giitarist and that he was born in Puerto Rico (?). If you find out something, please let me know.

Tom Finn had already had a band, The Magic Plants, when he ran into a guy named Steve Martin-Caro, a Spanish high-school student who recently arrived in the city, as they attempted to navigate the scene outside the hotel where The Rolling Stones' ...

I like Odessa best of these. Rounding out a top five in some order are Forever Changes, Magical Mystery Tour, Satanic Majesties and Millennium's Begin.

The Association - Insight Out, Gene Clark - With the Gosdin Brothers, and The Hollies - Butterfly should be mentioned here as well.

Agreed stylistically but these are inferior to the majority of the songs listed by the OP, right?

I own and enjoy these 3 but the others are in another league.

The only right answer for me, though I’ll choose Pet Sounds in its absence.

Ok, I know I would definitely put
    Sgt Pepper’s and Satanic Majesties
    in the same umbrella category.

So what are we calling that genre?
I get the impression this was the OP’s point.

I enjoy them more than some of the albums in the poll, but that wasn't the reason I added them. I just saw everybody else adding other suggestions, and I thought them worthy of at least a mention.
