Based on this thread "best-live-performance-video-on-youtube" I thought it might be fun to have a similar one for covers. It doesn't have to be a live performance but I think It is more entertaining that way. I'll post a couple to get started.

I discovered the Grip Weeds a couple of weeks ago. Great power pop band. Here's their cover of The Pretty Things' It'll Never Be Me.

Serious question for you guys/gals. If a songwriter puts out a song after someone else recorded it, is it a cover? I think a few Kristofferson songs, maybe a couple David Allen Coe and Johnny Cash might fall into this category. I've never considered them covers since they were done by the songwriter. I'm curious of your thoughts.

Or "Fire" by Bruce Springsteen, originally recorded by Robert Gordon. Brill Building songwriters Greenwich&Barry and Carole King did this too. No, if you wrote it, it's your song, can't be a cover if you ask me.

The Magpie Salute (singer John Hogg and former Crowes guitarists Rich Robinson and Marc effin' Ford) are joined on stage by the Trews to cover the great Faces song, "Ooh La La".

Here's the one I posted on the other thread and made me think about doing this thread, a Sting tribute and thought Bruno knocked it out of the park.
