  1. Obviously Trouble No More would be right up there with Hitchhiker .They must have done the list before its release.I would have thought Songs From The Wood deserves a place.
If stuff like the Pearl Jam Wrigley Field official bootlegs are eligible then so are the Springsteen ones-St Louis 2008,Philadelphia 2009,New York 2000 and Stockholm 1988.

Yes, they only just reviewed it. And agree re: Jethro Tull.

Midori Takada is fantastic. I wasn't familiar with the album before it's reissue and it's now one of my favorites.

Neither are on Uncut's list, but the reissues of Livy Ekemezie's "Friday Night" on Odion Livingston and Hotline's "You Are Mine" on Soundway were my other two favorites this year.

Phases by Angel Olsen should also be in this list. They should run it as a top 50.

A bump for this, just because I went to the trouble of typing up the list...

Also, any other lists of the year’s best archive releases?

I bought Hitchhiker and the Can Singles disc. Have original album configurations for several of the others on the list already as well. Better list than their strait top albums of 2017.

I voted for Grateful Dead - Cornell 5/8/77, which, as a diehard Deadhead, I think is essential. The show has been mythologized over the years as "the best ever" which is certainly debatable. Some people don't like 1977 Grateful Dead - too slick, not as much improvisation as 72-74, etc. But I personally think 5/8/77 stands up for what it is - a great example of post-hiatus Grateful Dead.

Yes and if you love it there was a box set released of 5/5, 5/7, 5/8, and 5/9/77 over at Dead dot net. It's called May 1977: Get Shown the Light.

Despite all the omissions, the forum seems to agree with the #1 ranking for Neil Young, which is something.

Also good to see that all but one of these (The Necessaries – Event Horizon) has a vote.
