I have an original 1996 US CD of Porcupine Tree's Signify album on C&S Records. It was withdrawn after about a week and replaced about a month later with a new pressing on Ark21 Records.

frente ~ lonely. The original CD single was withdrawn and two tracks (a New Order cover and a track with Ween) were added to the reissue.

I had the Mr Bungle cassette with "Travolta" song title that was later re-named "Quote Unquote" after a quote from a lawyer.

The original commercial release was also quickly deleted and re-released due to errors on the cover. I have a couple of sealed copies of that. I always wondered if it was a marketing stunt.

My brother had this, and I recall the version of "Heartless" was much better than the later-released one. That's my only memory of the differences.

I have both the 12" and the CD (single) of The Chameleons "Tony Fletcher Walked On Water...". It was quickly withdrawn after it was released by a band member without the other members knowledge/consent.

I also have my original US cd of The Stone Roses debut without "Fool's Gold" on it. I don't know how many were made; but I've never seen another one, though I'm sure they are out there.

I was working music press and got this promo and still have it -- I've still never heard the actual RELEASED version because the versions I purchased were in the "pill" pack and I never wanted to crack them open! I have the single disc and the 12 disc versions and I've never popped the pills (ha).

I bought two copies of the pill pack when it came out (total Spacemen 3/Spiritualized/Spectrum freak). Opened and played one and mothballed the other. Also still have an unopened 12 disc pack!

It was because of this album's withdrawal that the other band with songs called "Shine On" and "Money" released an album called Wish You Were Here, for the record!

I have the Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Liverpool" CD reissue on Salvo / Union Square / ZTT that was withdrawn when the band objected to several of the additional tracks included. This is numbered as Element 15 and seems to be pretty rare on eBay.
