Lotta people were put off by all the cussing on the show but I've read that in reality, it wasn't unrealistic. Especially given the makeup of who made up the population of DW at the time. Not exactly the cream of society. Truth is, most depictions of the West are pretty sanitized in this regard.

Tough - we lost one of the best characters Sai.

 

Sy's not integral, Al is! If you look up the history, Al's character definitely mentions, during the series, what he would do to DW if things didn't go his way. That he'd burn the town down. Well, DW DID burn in reality and Swearengen ultimately died a hobo in a Chicago railroad yard. Man, that's a bone with lotta meat still left on it! Ian McShane would have a blast with it, it always looked liked he was having so much fun playing Al!

 

Understood but -man what he added to the show - that creepiness - part of the show's magic. Love Al - but Sai passed him in this area.

 

No doubt Powers Boothe would be missed, he was a force of nature!

I’m way behind the times. I just finished season 2 a couple of nights ago. A movie would be great since I can’t see how only 3 seasons covers it.
