I could have wrote this post, word for word.
There doesn’t seem to be much gray area here.....either people love it or hate it. Not many have this one in the middle of their list.

Have always loved this album! Have the original LP from back in the day.

I have always found this to be true as well. Wildlife was not on the radar of many a McCartney fan.
Not sure why....it is a great album.

Opening side one with Mumbo, perhaps?

I honestly think it had to do with McCartney's name not being seen on the cover. Many didn't know it was him!

I love Some People Never Know just the way it is, I don't think anything needs or should be edited!
I haven't mentioned it before, but I do also absolutely love the title song. McCartney should be performing Wildlife right now, I think it would fit his current voice perfectly!
If he can still sing Helter Skelter, he can sing Wildlife!

A subpar but weirdly fascinating album. Similar to Dylan's Self Portrait in that regard.

Both came out about the same time of each other. 1970--S.P. 1971--W.L.

I enjoy Wildlife, but dislike Ram. I suppose I should have my head examined :)

Wow, first time that I've noticed Paul playing a Gibson j160e. Wonder if it was Harrison's or Lennon's?

Wild Life is one of my favourite Wings / McCartney albums - possibly my favourite.

And I make no apologies for loving Bip Bop. It’s also evidently been re-evaluated by McCartney, since it was included on Pure McCartney

This thread has got me thinking. Bip Bop always gets stick, and it’s an easy target because of the lyrics.

However, IMO it’s pretty easy to compile a list of songs lousier than Bip Bop.

    Here’s 10!

    1. Mary Had A Little Lamb
    2. Country Dreamer
    3. Dark Room
    4. Secret Friend
    5. Check My Machine
    6. Frozen Jap
    7. Talk More Talk
    8. Press
    9. Freedom
    10. Gratitude
