  1. Noticed that "Under the Boardwalk" wasn't referenced in the original post - is that also Rudy Lewis? (being that is was from that era)...
     
  2. I think it was Johnny Moore singing on that one. Sounds like him to me.

    Edit: according to Wikipedia Rudy Lewis died the day before the recording was scheduled so Johnny Moore took the lead vocal part. I think Johnny's phrasing suits that song perfectly. I'm a big Rudy Lewis fan but I can't see him improving on Moore's vocal.

    They are all aces but since Up On The Roof is my personal favorite, I gotta go with Rudy Lewis.

    Man, this is torture. Perhaps Rudy Lewis, but Ben E. King would be very close...today....
