You could go back in time to see one Beatles' concert. Which of these would it be?

I'd like to hear this. Seems like they were on fire on that tour.

That is cool to know.Yeah it was definitely 5 star with the lighted fountains and circle drive.Today is actually the 54th anniversary of that event.Again the Cabana did look like a bit of Vegas on Stemmons Frwy.now I know why.Sinatra&Elvis also stayed there at one point.Last I heard it was a jail facility for women.

    And I'll dress warmly.

Lovely photos, thanks. George and John have the same type of guitar - did they swap? Will have to check the Beatles Gear book. The suits are well - I don't think I will be wearing one out to coffee anytime.

I'd have to say Kaiserkeller, Hamburg, then Top Ten, then Cavern or Litherland Town Hall, then Washington D,C. '64.

No, but across the street the pub. I've never been there, but from what I have read.

Beat me to it! John and Paul wanted to come out and do some harmonies during Jimi's set and Jimi turned them down, saying, "No, sorry guys, having Buddy Miles is bad enough..."
I'll go ya one better: the 1966 NME Show, with the triple bill of The Beatles, The Stones and The Who!

In all seriousness, though, like a lot of people I would have given my left nut to see the rooftop gig.

Since you say you are serious, what show would you need to see to give up your right nut?

Hamburg! Booze, amphetamines, ladies of the night, long and multiple sets, Lennon with a toilet seat, fist fights with sailors - the epitome of real rock n roll!

Budokan, probably- the idea of attending a concert alongside 20000 screaming teenyboppers doesn't sound like my idea of a good time. At least in Japan the audience showed some restraint.
I think the rooftop gig would win, if not in a landslide, damn close to one!

And sometimes featuring Roy Young on piano in the band. This photos dates from the Spring 0f 1962. If Roy could have just played his cards right for a few more months, he might have had quite a different life in store:

The February, 1964 Washington DC Coliseum show. They were on fire, and combined with the audience response, it appears to have been one of the most exciting concerts ever, anywhere.

Ah, but in the '60's, 17 months was a long time.

At first I thought this would be a tough pick.
However after noodling it over a bit, I would have to choose the cavern.
And the reason is because I'd get to see them up close.
And they were still a hungry band trying to break through.
