...You have versions of SMiLE that Brian Wilson never even worked on!

 

...your waste basket is full of shrinkwrap 365 days a year.

 

...your collection is insured.

 

...you decide to get a handle on the habit and devote 15% of your monthly record spending income on "other interests". It turns out you have an extra $3000 a month!

 

...you buy two copies of everything just "for the hell of it".

 

...you sincerely think you are responsible for keeping vinyl alive!

 

...the last time you walked out of a record store with only one record was during the Kennedy-Nixon debate!

 

if you want a "new" release or something unheard, just do some digging in your collection, you're bound to find something that either you didn't know you had or totally forgot about

 

...someone asks if they can browse your 45 collection and you tell them, "Sure. Follow me to the third wing of the house".

 

Or, worse, something you bought and never even opened, much less listened to!

 

...you have records on the Moon!

 

I think that would be The Moody Blues' 'To Our Children's Children's Children', which one of the Apollo crews took with them to the Moon (albeit on Cassette). Not sure if they remembered to bring it back!

 

...Just your Springsteen collection is larger than the entire stock of new vinyl at Barnes & Noble!

 

I like to think someone (or something) is playing "Moondance" up there.

 

...your nephew helped you catalogue your colored vinyl during Spring Break, and he has yet to go back to classes!

 

...You click the 'Random Item' button on your Discogs collection page to pick an album to listen to. I don't do this terribly often, but it's fun to try out from time to time.
