I dig all the old photos in this vid, very cool. Love everything you've posted by them, ugh, another one goes into the bandcamp wishlist.
Blayne is a laugh. They're good, and interesting. I had to check what they were about at first in case they were sympathetic to history's villains or something but they passed. Anti-war, anti-dictatorship, etc.
This Black Royal will have to be investigated. (Why does "investigated" seem an awful word now? I can't think of the right word.) They sound good. And I want that antlers hat.
Stuff that I liked tonight. First and foremost, two more weeks until this is released. It'll be an instant buy for me. 2017 preview, releases February 16, 2018
Careful with that keyboard, Eugene. I'm going to slap the name tag "Dr. Tongue" on my shirt and self-prescribe this album as an after work sedative to wind down and de-stress.
Awesome Fuzz! That should be served here. Funny you mention food as I was just checking out a Canadian band that in the end didn't pan out but I did read about a cool eatery on the east coast Halifax’s blackest and bleakest metal finds a home at Gus’ Pub With an hour to spare I set out on the usual musical hunt and was looking for something akin to a wack in the face by a mace but after a whole lotta fail (not flail) I had to settle for a soft and gentle Morning Star facial massage. Russian atmospherics.
Just finished the Beherit discography... Uh... Not sure what to make of it. I really enjoyed Engram though. LOL.
Same here. Last week I was checking out Canadian brutal metal like Blasphemy, Revenge, etc and it didn't work for me. I need more groove within that rumble and grumble. Some recent South American bands seem better suited for me. As for many of the famous landmark albums from the past I like the present a lot more. I'm not so hot on the past. Traditional Rock and Metal are the opposite, for me the past is king and the present is dead. After the fun of going through lots of 2017 year end lists now the pickings seem so slim. I can go diving for two hours and come up empty.
Relapse is off to a killer start this year. Both the aforementioned Mammoth Grinder and the new Genocide Pact sound amazing, especially the latter. That's the kind of scummy, dirty, doom-infused death metal that always gets my blood pumpin'.
I have found something engaging. Not lean and mean like I had hoped for but instead pretty. Rather, satin and lace Black Metal (worlds are colliding!) with a foot in the Post-Metal compost. And a damn pretty video too. Someone has been at the thesaurus: "abscond", "mendable". Film, up next from 1973. To borrow from Lenny, the best comment, from IMDB "And Now the Cleavage Starts!"
Ended my night listening to this twice, asking myself could it be possible I like every song? Blackened Thrash from Australia.
Fyi - The Agonia Records bandcamp site has all their albums @ $3 right now. Some really cool stuff from there.
