I have only seen one other copy of this and it was only VG- with label wear. Neither popsike nor collectorsfrenzy show any auctions of this US single in recent years. I would think a mint copy would fetch at least $500, maybe more

The Aussie would have used US metal so if it was a fold down so would the US.
On the Aussie Hole in My Shoe and Paper Sun EP it has the true mono versions of the title songs, Smiling Phases and the sung intro version of Giving to You.

Traffic - Paper Sun & A Hole In My Shoe

As far as I know nobody's ever seen a mono version of the Aussie UK Mr Fantasy. There's a number on the back cover and it definitely exists in New Zealand.

Mono Bookends is not impossible to find. I have both a stock and promo mono. There's a stock mono up for sale now on eBay for $299. You aint gonna find that one cheap in good condition

  5. I only have seen it once when it first came out and have never seen a copy since. The LP "Maybe tomorrow" by The Iveys. I was U.S. Apple/Capitol ST-3355. The title song had already just been a minor hit. The Iveys had changed their name to Badfinger and had a huge hit "Come And Get It". It was on the LP "Magic Christian Music". At the time, I didn't know yet that The Iveys and Badfinger were the same. I heard "Maybe Tomorrow" on the "Magic Christian Music" LP and then realized they were the same. Then, the choice, should I buy The Iveys LP or Badfinger's? Well, the Badfinger LP had 2 hits on it and The Iveys LP only had one. I bought the Badfinger LP. Had I known that U.S. The Iveys LP would be as rare as hen's teeth, if I had the money, I would have bought both.

How do you know the Aussie mono of Mr. Fantasy would have definitely been from a US master vs. creating a folddown?
The Aussie EP using true mono mixes makes sense since the Aussie 45's used mono masters.

Bookends is one of my favorite albums of all time, but I’ve never heard the mono mix.

Is there anything notable about the Tetragrammaton pressing besides its scarcity?

Not sure why it should scare you. I would just run off laughing.

It's worth getting. You get the 45 mixes of the songs that came out on singles but Save The Life Of My Child is awesome in mono

  18. Has been for some time. $1000 for a NM original would be a bargain!

    Grinderswitch - Right On Time.
Checked E-Bay for years, nothing or nothing affordable.
Finally found a sealed copy for $25.
Ordered it & waited weeks for it.
Tracking shows it was delivered to my post office but disappeared after that.
A couple weeks later a local postal worker was arrested for throwing mail in the garbage. :realmad::realmad:

You did well just to find one. Insanely rare. I’ve got a bunch of the Cdn Holy Grail albums, but a few more of the “big” ones left, including Bent Wind. I’d have to say my all time favourite is The British North American Act.
