Yer right, I 4got how godawful that was. Although that would apply to almost that entire final season. That show really went downhill when the creative team changed (4get what season that was).

I bingewatched the last season of Mr. Robot recently and was riveted to the TV all the way through. That show is the most mind-blowing/bending show I've ever scene. You have to stick with each season though even if you think it makes no sense to get to the payoffs. S3 actually was less of the mind-eff than the other 2 but it answered a bunch of mysteries leftover from earlier and the pace was very exciting (except for one episode which was still pretty good).

It's a brilliant show. I have told people to watch it and if they say I'm not sure I usually point them to this article

Battlestar Galactica: Better than The Wire?

As for order of watching etc, don't worry. Just watch the mini series and then the regular seasons. There are some one shots, which are variable in quality, but you can watch these after as they are not integral to the story.

After the mini series the first season is a tad slow at times but after that it hits an amazing level, so just be prepared for first season not being quite so good.

If you haven't watched Fargo Season 2 - best series in TV history imo.

I'll probably get the Blu Ray complete, only a couple of bucks difference in price.

I really enjoy the rebooted Battlestar Galactica. HATED the original. Production values were high and there was a great feel to the show.

After the reboot I went back and watched the original. It took a while to tune myself to the camp 70's style but I did and it was quite enjoyable. Some great episodes, and the thing is that the reboot copied many of the plot lines and episodes, I didn't realise they were using the original stories so much.

I realized that they were using some of the themes and stories. . . . You're a braver man than me. I couldn't handle an episode of the show at the time and I'm afraid to try now!

I feel the same way about Fargo S2. My favorite season of any TV show ever.

Cool BG article you posted above btw. When the show was first on, I had no interest at all - like what the author is taking about how the show is perceived by most unfamiliar with it. Several friends kept telling me I should watch it, but again, the concept just sounded very silly/assinine. Years later I happened upon an episode (think it was S4) on TV and even though I didn't understand who the characters were or what the heck was going on I felt I was watching something "special" and intriguing, so I sought out the miniseries/S1 and got totally hooked. I still hate the ending/last episode though, for several reasons that I can't go into here for spoiler reasons.

Good to hear. I’ve got all 4 seasons coming from the library.
Another new one I’ve discovered is Longmire. It’s like a lighter version of Justified. The blond girl Battlestar Galactica is in it.

Katee Sackoff (Starbuck) or Tricia Helfer (#6/Caprica)?

If you watch an episode of Banshee 1st, Longmire will be VERY lightweight in comparison. You've been warned!;)

Cool, I might check that out. So rare to see her in anything (last thing I recall is a season of 24). I think she's gorgeous (Tricia ain't exactly chopped liver either though)!

Then you'll love her in this, no other Deputy Sheriffs wear their shirts half unbuttoned like her.

  18. My Wife & I recently binged on Longmire based on a friends enthusiasm. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Recommended highly.

*** a bit of additional info. I worked for a PD very close to an Indian Reservation with a Casino. My wife worked for an Indian Tribe that owned a Casino. We have friends that live close to the location of the set they used for Longmire's cabin - we visited the immediate area on one of our vacations (long before we watched the series). This series really hit home for us.

Absolutely not. Killer good series that never fails to impress episode to episode all the way to the end

I've seen it twice all the way through. Great series! Compelling characters and storyline! I know that there's quite a bit of dissatisfaction with the ending, but I'm not quit sure I understand the hatred. Is it just the resolution of Kara's storyline that upset fans, or is there something more?

Definitely what you said is a big part of my hatred of it. That was just so friggin' lame IMO.

I don't want to say the other things that bothered me about that last episode in the open here as it were since I don't want to give anything away - I can't remember how to hide comments with the spoiler things here in the forum (can anyone tell me how to do that?).

You click the icon between the film strip icon and the save icon. A list of choices will appear. You click “Spoiler.” It will ask if you want to add a title to the spoiler. You can choose to do so or just click “Continue.” The two spoiler tags will appear. You just type between the two tags and post. You can preview your post before posting to make sure it worked.

    Cool thanks, think it worked!

Beside the frakkin' Kara/Starbuck disappearing into thin air because she is now supposed to be an angel whose work is "done" (or whatever it was they were trying to say) there were two main things I recall that I felt defied all logic in that episode and cheapened the series for me:

One was that the survivors of all this just "decided/voted" to abandon all remnants of their society/technology and "rough it" for 100% on this new world. Not even take a table or a chair or medicine or food or pots & pans or a blanket or a heater or a weapon to defend themselves against hostile creatures? Are we supposed to believe that? It's crazy and made no sense to me that they would act that way. And if accepting that then how did Adama build his cabin in the woods of North Dakota or wherever it was that he went to - did he defy the group and bring an axe, saw, nails, hammers, etc? I could be misremembering but I thought it showed him with a cabin...

And two was that the main of the group were colonizing Africa which is/was a dangerous & difficult environment to survive in. Wild animals in abundance. Lions would be feasting on their carcasses within a day. Funniest of all to me was the scene with the supposed mother of all humanity to be, the little girl (I 4get her name), frolicking in the veldt, disappearing from sight over a hill away from her parents oversight, where she should have been picked off by a hungry lion or something similar right then and there.

It's a good cast. Zahn McClarnon from Fargo season 2 is in it.
