    Hi folks,
I know I am a spoiled brat for wanting more so soon after the Roxy feast but, now the Zappa Vault has been ‘saved’ by Alex Winter’s Kickstarter programme, I wonder what other wonderment we think is lurking in there.

Personally I reckon there must be some good outtakes from the Waka/Wazoo sessions (I’ve heard some muffled George Duke tracks on YouTube with the GW band which I need in great quality.) Also, I would love to find out if there is stuff left over from the late ‘74/early ‘75 studio sessions. There must be some great instrumental outtakes from Greggary Peccary. Maybe we might hear a pristine studio version of ‘Join The March/Farther Oblivion’. Those along with the full Royce Hall ‘75 concerts and, of course, and Hot Rats outtakes have me salivating in anticipation...

    What do you all think?

    I'd like...

Mothers @ the Whiskey (mixed from the 8-track tapes)

    Bongo Fury Tapes

Complete Zappa in New York Shows.

And any DVD/Bluray concert footage would be most welcome.

I'd like some more Blu-Rays of existing material on DVD really. Watching the band and Frank play is addictive. But I don't really want to invest too much in buying DVD's now, but would appreciate some conversions to Blu-Ray with uncompressed audio for a start

I'd like another guitar album that includes compact disc versions of the non-lp b-side guitar pieces Ancient Armaments and Junior Mintz Boogie.

I would like a release of the concert I attended at the Hammersmith Odeon in That London except I cannot remember when it was - (79-81 I think). Four of us travelled nearly 500 miles to see Zappa but unfortunately we emptied the medicine and cocktail cabinets on the way and none of us can remember much of it at all! I do have a vague impression of the drummer wearing a feathery headdress but I can't be sure.

Just been reading this over at Wikipedia...

    DiscReet Records - Wikipedia

So I would say lets have some Blu-Ray audio in 4.1 for these if they are still knocking around please!

Zappa's original intention was to release all albums on the label in conventional 2-channel stereo and 4-channel quadraphonic sound simultaneously. DiscReet issued two albums specially remixed for quadraphonic during 1973. These were Over-Nite Sensation credited to Frank Zappa and the Mothers and Apostrophe (') credited to Zappa alone. But the quadraphonic policy had to be dropped after just two releases. Also advertised were quadraphonic versions of two other Zappa titles. These were the double live album from 1974, Roxy & Elsewhere, and the 1975 (mostly) studio album One Size Fits All. The four-channel master tapes for these albums may exist in the Zappa archives but the quadraphonic versions have never been released.

    All of the above plus:

More Yellow Shark, both audio and video.
    A Zappa Affair
Blu-ray box containing Uncle Meat, The True Story Of 200 Motels, Video From Hell, and The Amazing Mr. Bickford. (Probably would fit on one Blu-ray, if stereo only and not 4K.)
Blu-ray of Oppapoppa - Live in Stockhom, 1973.

I think there are (perpetually) several projects in the can.

Its just a question of establishing a pattern of releases.

I wonder if they are thinking of releasing the music FZ did for 'The Fly' soundtrack?

I think they need to do a comprehensive "pre-Freak out" box, all of the little tidbits that still survive from Studio Z etc.

I'd love a Bongo Fury concerts box, but most of all I want the vinyl reissues to at least finish up with the 1970s releases, starting with Burnt Weeny Sandwich and Chunga's Revenge. Yes, I know they're not vault releases - but they're needed.

At least Chunga's Revenge appears to be on the horizon.

Yes to this. I have the bootleg of the rest of the show but a full version would be awesome.
