I have been learning some jazz guitar and am looking for some inspirational albums to check out. I have a decent collection including the likes of Pat Martino, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green etc so looking for anything else which the jazz fans on here may feel is essential guitar listening.

One guy I discovered this week was Jimmy Raney who blew me away so similar is appreciated!

    Thanks

I'm not a connoisseur of jazz guitar or John Scofield's discography but I like his "Blue Matter" album.

I'll second Grant Green and Django.

Green Street and Idle Moments are classics for Green, but I also enjoyed Live at the Lighthouse which is more funk/fusion. (I don't think of his style as fusion, but this album has electric instruments)
