It always nice to have a few "Greatest Hits" albums around when you just want to hear the artists hits.
But what the the best sounding ones on vinyl out there?

The Byrds Greatest Hits. I’ve got it on CBS UK mono which sounds amazing—not sure how other versions do for SQ. Great track list.

I have a few that sound decent, but never bothered with the original albums so have no baseline...
Best of the Doobies (basic WB 1976 version)
    Little River Band GH
Elton John V2 (V1 not bad, too)
Bowie Changes (2016 reissue sounds pretty good)
Wings Greatest (original Cap seems good)
    ...all pretty easy to get

America GH is decent (first two original LPs are great, though)
Neil Young GH sounded real good when i had it

Have many more GHs on ceedee that sound great...

Steely Dan Greatest Hits (Ludwig/Masterdisk mastering)
Hall & Oates Rock ‘n’ Roll Soul (Ludwig/Masterdisk also)
Neil Young Greatest Hits - recent reissue, which uses a “one-step” process (Grundman I think?)
Roy Orbison, MoFi, cut from masters
Billy Joel vol 1&2 MoFi Box, also from masters
Bob Dylan mono Sundazed (Kevin Gray)
I also like the DCC Cars, Elton John and Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits, which I think are all Hoffman/Gray
Beatles Red & Blue recent reissues, cut all analog

Problem here, is you have Johnny on Sun, on Columbia, on Mercury, and on American. The gentleman made records for many years.

I have a copy of Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits that just HAS to be a hot stamper. It sounds absolutely amazing on both my reference system and my home office system.
