I got the Faces box, and if anyone's interested, the Van Dyke Parks "Song Cycle" is the mono mix, and is apparently done AAA by Chris Bellman, with Parks' involvement.

Not sure if there are any Hawkwind fans out there. But I noticed insound has the Space Ritual reissue for only $17. I paid a lot more a couple years back. And boy was it worth it. Gorgeous rerelease with the sleeve opening up into 6 panels. Complete with all the triply artwork and thick 180 gram slabs of vinyl.

I just got one too, and it’s great! They put an incredible amount of attention to detail into this thing.

I went with the Beefheart, the Fleetwood Mac early 70’s and two Neil Young box sets. All stellar. I will now contemplate the Faces though I’m just not a huge fan.

Ohh, nice one. Great psych-rock with Steve Howe burning it up on guitar. Another good '60s one in the sale (mono mix w/ splatter vinyl) is Rainbow Ffolly Sallies Fforth. It's more psych-pop than psych-rock, but if you love melodic Beatlesque harmonies, then there's a lot to like.

Here's what the groovy wax looks like:

Uhhh, make that $10.99 not $100.99. That wouldn't quite be a steal

Take note that the Rhino version of "Bean Bags" (Milt Jackson and Coleman Hawkins) is an all-analog pressing, cut by Bernie Grundman.

Two more excellent 1960s albums in their rare mono mixes that are great pickups from the Insound sale:

    Randy Newman (debut)

Van Dyke Parks - Song Cycle

Another great '60s RSD album in the sale, but in stereo this time:

    The Everly Brothers - Roots
