Steve Forrest on a "Gunsmoke" episode.

He shot Matt who managed to kill him while laying in the dirt shot in the left shoulder.

    Matt was right handed.

    Nobody faster.

Trinity was definitely the fastest although he never shot anyone.

According to Kirk Douglas in his memoirs, Murphy had a sadistic streak. He would sneak up behind someone, press a gun into their back, and then fire another gun, filled with blanks, into the air. The physical sensation of the gun barrel's touch combined with the sound of the shot would terrify people.

Charles Bronson in the opening to "Once Upon A Time In The West".
Not only did he have to get off three quick fatal shots, but he had to drop
his bag first. ("You brought two too many...")

But in the last season they also had Boon who thought he could beat him (spoiler below if you haven't seen it)

I’ve watched the whole run of Justified twice. Being from Kentucky certainly has a draw for me, but Olyphant and Goggins were a dynamite pair of adversaries.

They were supposedly originally going to kill off Groggins in season 1. That's my theory on why most people don't get into it, the 1st season is somewhat different and directionless so maybe tougher to get into? At first, it doesn't really know if it's an episodic or "serial" show but then it eventually figures out the balance.
Then it follows up with one of the best seasons of TV....

Beat me to it by over a year and a half! Sad that he took his life during the series.

Ben Murphy was even faster as Kid Curry.

Having just watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, for the upteenth time, beginning to end, yesterday, I'll say what many others have said, Clint Eastwood. Angel Eyes never had a chance

Here's an 8mm snippet of James Garner in 1959 working with the gun expert who taught him the fancy twirly stuff.
