If Paul were not the bass player that became, would they really be that great of a band having George or John play bass?
I believe Stu is on Anthology 1 CD on a few of those early, rough tapes. So he actually did record with them, albeit on amateur equipment.
I don’t see it as a jam, but as an attempt to play a straight 12-bar blues. Most bands who recorded - and released - similar efforts at the time did a much better job.
In 1963 when the Beatles were touring Britain with Roy Orbison, on the bus they heard Roy working on "Oh Pretty Woman". One of the lines in that song is "yeah, yeah, yeah". This was the same time "She Loves You" would have been an idea in their minds. So, is it just a coincidence that that unusual phrase for a song appears in both songs. Or, did the Beatles suggest it to Roy, where he was stuck on a line. Or were the Beatles influenced by Roy to work it into a song? Or, did Roy decide later to include it (Pretty Woman was released over a year later) as a homage to She Loves You?
Do you mean the order of the names? It may be a coincidence, but that's the order in which the members joined the group.
What if they were known as George, Paul, Ringo and John... I guess we'll never know ...an unresolved Beatles Question
A little while ago, I sped up the Anthology 2 version of it on Audacity by some 12,5%, and it sounded MUCH better. I don't really know why, it just improved a lot by that. I reccomend you to try that
I've always thought of the sequence like that too. It is also basically the hierarchy of leadership within the group.
I like it. It's a catchy tune. The music is much more interesting than the lyrics of course. It plays almost like We Can Work it Out in a much more cheery tone.
Not sure about that, he found out what they'd think if he sang out of tune; they stood up and walked out on him.
If there was never The Beatles as a group and the four never met and instead were introduced to the public as solo acts starting with their released solo LP’s in 1970, would any of them have had successful careers?
