    Unfortunately sold out.
Secondary market copies have become hard to find and are expensive.

Look in the forum's classifieds, it shows up from time to time, or maybe post a Want To Buy ad.

Good luck with your search. If you ever wanted to know what it sounds like with your head jammed in the middle of a drum kit, this is as close as you can get. :)

It's out of print. But definitely worth trying to find.
Much better sound than the DVD-A edition.

I've never seen it appear there. It's rare as hens teeth.

I'm listening to the Spectrum 4.0 quad mix and it sounds excellent! Reminds a bit of Jeff Beck's instrumental albums from the 70's and 80's. Well worth searching for to get a copy!

Jeff Beck's 'blow by blow' and 'wired' are my main reason for expanding my interest in similar fusion albums - let me know if you have any other good similar recommendations. the Spectrum album and Beck's work (especially 'wired') are very guitar (and drums) driven fusion but I'm also interested in more keyboard oriented albums such as Herbie Hancock's 'head hunters', although not sure whether to go with the more accessible Sony 5.1 sacd or the harder to find (for us folks outside the USA) af quad sacd

IIRC the 5.1 mix of this one was actually a repurposed Quad mix (i.e. they took the 4.0 channels and expanded them to 5.1). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

sound similar to the jeff beck multi channel sacd's. If the head hunters 4.1/5.1 still sounds good, it may be easier and cheaper to pick up the Sony version for me. if you have a bar code number that would be helpful as I know HH has had many sacd versions

the AF Quad SACD of Herbie's "Thrust" is excellent, if you don't have it already :righton:

    there are some great fusion/jazz/r&b Quads that haven't been reissued on a modern format yet that i'm really hoping get rereleased someday soon, including;
"Introducing Larry Coryell & The Eleventh House",
Herbie Hancock's "Sextant" (the mix is incredible!),
    Miles Davis "B!tches Brew",
    Gil Evans "Svengali",
    Blackbyrds "Flying Start",
    Brecker Brothers "Back To Back",
    Mingus Moves,
    Duke Ellington "New Orleans Suite"
    Average White Band "AWB",
    Azteca,
Bill Bruford "In Search Of Ancient Gods",
    BS&T "Mirror Image",
    Chase "Pure Music",
    Weather Report "Tale Spinnin",
Maynard Ferguson "Conquistador", Quincy Jones (You've Got It Bad Girl, Body Heat & Mellow Madness) and a whole slew of CTI Quads.. all highly recommended :)

Hopefully Welcome to the Dutton Vocalion website will release some of those on quad/stereo SACD in the future. They've already released two albums of Deodato as a 2-on-1 SACD.
